WJO Self-Defense Programme

The only way to prepare your self to fend off an attacker is to take a self-defense class.

But a self-defense class is not only about learning to fight.

One of the most important things that people take away from self-defense classes is confidence. It is so much easier to take action in an emergency when you are confident that the techniques you have learnt actually work. A good self-defense class can teach you how to size up a situation and decide how best to react.

Aggressive posturing and retaliations are seldom the only way to resolve an issue, and in most cases will make the situation worse. Having the confidence to face an attacker and talk to them can sometimes be enough to deflate the situation.

The WJO Self-Defense Programme

The WJO Self-Defense Programme has been developed to build confidence and self awareness for both men and women. Discussions are held with the group to analyze different scenarios.:

  • What does an assailant want?
  • How dangerous is this situation?
  • How did I end up here?
  • What are my options?
  • What is my best action?
  • Students are taught methods of avoiding situations as well as dealing with them both verbally and physically. All martial arts techniques are practiced regularly and performed as drills until perfected.

    Programme Structure:

  • 6 Elements - Broken into 10 classes - 9 Practical and 1 Exam
